In the past eight years, I've coached thousands of women from all walks of life, all over the world, in all stages of their careers.
β
Whenever it's in a group setting - which it often is - I get the same email after, every single time.
β
"I thought I was the only one."
β
The email then goes on to detail how that realization of not being alone, marked a turning point. An ah-moment of self-actualization, the missing piece in the path of pushing forward to who they want to be.
β
Here's what I've found both as a coach and in my journey of self-discovery. Whatever we're grappling with (from office politics to inner critics), the feeling of aloneness makes it worse. It makes us ashamed.
β
That's why I fervently believe transparency is transformative, and why I've dedicated these newsletters to sharing my stories.
β
Now, through my brand new podcast, I'm sharing the stories of other women as they do the hard work of working on themselves.
β
Each episode is a real coaching session - recorded with consent and edited for clarity - with the goal that their journey will help illuminate yours. (If you like Esther Perel's podcast, you'll like this.)
β
And because I practice what I preach, sometimes I'll turn the tables and put myself in the hot seat, as I invite coaches and therapists to guide me through challenges I'm experiencing.
β
In short: we're all going through something. We might as well go through it together, and cheer each other on along the way.
β
Take a listen to the first three episodes below and stay tuned for next week's, where you'll meet Marissa, who is exploring a career pivot.
